A HOSPICE will host its last ever fun run after years of securing thousands of pounds of donations through the events.
More than £60,000 was pledged to the Teesside Hospice after 1,400 runners took part in last year's charity run that sees participants covered in powder paints as they run.
The Middlesbrough-based hospice announced this year's colour run will be the last one held in support of the facility that provides specialist palliative care.
Fundraising manager, Debbie Coulson, said: "This event is all about wearing your biggest smile, getting messy and raising cash for Teesside Hospice. It’s also a bright and brilliant way to get your friends and family to come together and do something fun before the summer ends.
"This is the third and final colour run and in the past we have had a fantastic response so we are encouraging people to book now to avoid disappointment."
The run will begin at 11am on Sunday, September 16, in Stewart Park, Middlesbrough, and participants of all ages and abilities are welcome to join in.
