PEOPLE in the North-East with hearing loss have been invited to join a research panel to help shape a charity’s work.
Charity Action on Hearing Loss (formerly RNID) is encouraging residents in the region who are deaf, have hearing loss or suffer from tinnitus to join the panel.
Panellists will have regular opportunities to take part in research projects by completing short surveys, through one-to-one interviews and focus groups.
Evidence gathered will inform policy, services and campaigning work.
Action on Hearing Loss director of policy and campaigns, Dr Roger Wicks, said: “We’d be grateful if North-East residents would get involved in our panel, which we hope offers a great opportunity to feed in their first-hand experience of hearing loss and highlight everyday issues that will help shape our future work, supporting people who are deaf or have hearing loss or tinnitus to live their lives to the full.”
