THE brand new Parkside Mental Health Resource Centre in Middlesbrough is now open to clients.

Tees, Esk and Wear Valleys NHS Foundation Trust has invested more than £2m as part of its commitment to modernise the way in which it provides mental health services.

The centre, which opened its doors yesterday, provides a modern purpose-designed environment for people with mental health conditions who need to access our community adult mental health services.

David Brown, director of operations for Teesside said: “Parkside provides a community team hub for the four adult mental health teams across Middlesbrough offering assessment, support, treatment and therapies to those who need specialist secondary mental health services.”

Service users have been involved throughout the interior design process choosing colour schemes and wall art which now adds to the welcoming environment.

The centre can is located on Park Road North in the town.
