DOZENS of campaigners turned out at a rally in Hartlepool in support of the town's hospital – and over concerns about the future of the NHS as a whole.
Health campaigners from local group, Fighting 4 Hartlepool Hospital, and from further afield, spoke at the event in the town's Victory Square.
Speakers included GPs, campaigners, and the founder of the modern day Jarrow crusaders, Jo Adams, from 999 Call for the NHS, which organised a march in the footsteps of the Jarrow Crusaders two years ago in support of the NHS.
There were also speakers from UKIP, the National Health Action Party, the Teesside Peoples Assembly, and Durham Miners.
