A MAJOR recruitment campaign has been launched for nursing staff in the North-East.

Northumberland, Tyne and Wear NHS Foundation Trust (NTW) is one of the largest mental health and disability Trusts in England employing more than 6,000 staff across Northumberland, Newcastle, North Tyneside, Gateshead, South Tyneside and Sunderland.

NTW is looking for a wide range of qualified nursing posts across a number of specialisms and fields of practice.

NTW Chief Executive John Lawlor said: “As I’ve found myself since joining the trust in June, a career with NTW goes further than the job; it’s living in and around the people we serve, and embracing the places that make the area so special.

“Posts are available in a number of areas including children and young people services, neurological services, autism, eating disorders, mental health and learning disabilities and I hope that people looking to develop their careers will consider joining us.

“Our work is not always easy, at times it can be very challenging, but it’s really worthwhile and rewarding. We make a real difference to people’s lives through the care we provide and we would love you to join us.”
