A SPECIAL behind-the-scenes tour of a North-East visitor attraction will be held next month to explore fish migration in the North-East.
The Tees Barrage, near Stockton, will be fully opened to guests on World Fish Migration Day to explore the course of fish between the River Tees and the North Sea.
The international date on April 21, will see members of the Tees River Trust carrying out eel and elver monitoring at the site.
Salmon, sea trout and lamprey are also found there.
Sessions will be held at 10am and noon, however places on tours of the engineering works managing river levels are limited and must be booked by emailing lee.butler@canalrivertrust.org.uk
