A ROYAL graduate has officially opened a North-East university’s new campus in the capital.

Princess Eugenie, who studied English and the History of Art at Newcastle University, unveiled a sculpture at her old university’s new campus in central London.

Newcastle University London provides full and part-time courses for students from all over the world and a southern base for the university’s Business School.

To mark the opening, Her Royal Highness unveiled a sculpture entitled Critical Mass, created by Newcastle University graduate Joseph Hillier.

Vice-chancellor Professor Chris Brink said: “Having a base in one of the most popular cities in the world complements Newcastle University’s reputation for academic excellence”.
