The 59-year-old died after taking ill in the store shortly after the attempted theft at around 7.30pm on Monday, April 30 and detectives are looking into whether her death could be connected.

Detectives wish to contact the potential witnesses as they may have important information relevant to the ongoing investigation and there is no evidence to suggest that they are in anyway involved in the alleged offence and are urging them to come forward.

Two men were arrested on suspicion of manslaughter and attempted theft and both have been bailed pending further enquiries.

Anyone who knows the identity of the people in the CCTV images or anyone with information regarding the incident at Tesco is asked to contact Cleveland Police on 101, quoting the event number 076000.
