POLICE investigating a robbery at a bank have made an arrest.
Officers were called to the NatWest bank on Newgate Street on Thursday morning.
Durham Police said today: "A 37-year old man has been arrested in connection with a robbery which took place yesterday at Natwest on Newgate Street, Bishop Auckland.
"He remains in custody at Bishop Auckland Police Station."
