POLICE have again warned stone throwing youths in the wake of a series of incidents on Mischief Night on Teesside.
PC Gary Kiss, from Middlesbrough’s Neighbourhood Policing Team, said on Thursday evening a youth had been arrested for stone throwing and disorderly behaviour.
Posting on Facebook he said: “Stone throwing to some is seen as a ‘laugh’. But they have to ask themselves how funny would it be if it smashed a moving vehicle’s window or hurt an innocent driver?
“Think before you act or you may just find yourself in one of our lovely cells.”
Commenting on Facebook Rob Monaghan said: “Had a relative lose his sight through someone throwing a stone.
“Anyone caught throwing stones at others or vehicles should be whipped.”
Harold Sutcliffe said: “Should bring back the old system dress them in khaki shorts and shirt and march them round the streets.”
