POLICE seized a quad bike after complaints from residents about machines being ridden in a dangerous manner.
Billingham Neighbourhood Policing Team said it had received a number of calls from the public about off road motorbikes and quad bikes in Stockton, Norton and Billingham.
Officers carried out targeted patrols in John Whitehead Park, in Billingham, and seized a quad bike on Tuesday evening.
A spokesman said information supplied by the public had helped result in the seizure.
He added: “Officers need to identify who these riders are and the locations where the machines are kept.
“We still have a number of reports from around the area regarding off road motorbikes and any information is most helpful to direct patrols to remove these bikes from our roads.”
