DURHAM Police have issued their weekly appeal for the public to identify suspects caught on CCTV.

Do you recognise this man? Durham Police would like to speak to him in connection with a suspected shoplifting at Asda in Peterlee on May 30. The suspect allegedly put £150 worth of alcohol in his basket and left the store via a fire exit without paying.

Who is this man? Durham Police want to speak to him in connection with the suspected theft of diesel from the Shell Garage in Carrville, Durham, on May 28.

Durham Police said: "During the incident, a white Ford Transit van pulled up at one of the pumps. The driver got out of the van and went into the shop and asked the staff a question. Meanwhile the passenger filled up a container in the back of the van with £69.91 of diesel. The driver and passenger have then got back in the van and driven off in an unknown direction."

Do you recognise these women? Durham Police would like to speak to them in connection with the suspected theft of a woman’s purse at Sainsbury’s in Sedgefield on May 23.

Durham Police said: "The first suspect was wearing a light coloured baseball cap, multi coloured shawl, white jeans, pink trainers and a black shoulder bag.

"The second woman had dark hair which was tied back and was wearing a green jacket, royal blue/white hooded top, blue jeans and a black handbag."
