A KNIFEMAN is being hunted by police after a delivery driver was robbed in the street.

The 18-year-old victim was working as a delivery driver for a local takeaway and had just made a delivery on Friars Way in Scarborough when the incident took place.

He was returning to his car, was approached by a man with a knife who demanded that the victim give him money.

The victim handed over his wallet which is described as a black leather flip wallet with green stitching and the letter “W” on it.

The robbery happened at bout 8.15pm last Friday, May 19, and the knifeman was dressed all in black with his hood up. The lower part of his face was covered with tightly fitting black material.

Anyone who witnessed the incident or has any information about the suspect to contact them.
