CLEVELAND Police are recruiting for new staff in their battle to tackle online paedophiles.
The force is currently advertising a vacancy on their Paedophile Online Investigation Team (POLIT).
A highly motivated investigator is needed to conduct investigations into serious crimes relating to child abusers operating on the internet.
A warning accompanies the job advertisement, advising applicants that the role involves the regular viewing of images containing children and “other images of an extremely offensive and distressing nature.”
The role calls for proven investigation skills, experience of dealing with complex cases and previous experience in dealing with difficult situations and conflict.
The successful applicant would work within the Crime and Justice Command based at Wynyard and would have a salary of between £27,519 and £31,938.
