THE death of a man found in a Middlesbrough alleyway yesterday morning is being treated as unexplained by police.
The body was discovered in the alley, between Peel Street and Palmer Street in central Middlesbrough, by a resident yesterday morning at about 9.15am.
An ambulance attended and the man, in his 30s, was pronounced dead at the scene. A post mortem is due to take place and more will be known today about how he died.
A Cleveland Police spokeswoman said: “Inquiries are ongoing to establish who the man is and how he came about his death.”
Anyone with any information about the incident or who saw anyone near the alleyway before 9.15am yesterday is asked to call Cleveland Police on 101 or contact Crimestoppers anonymously by telephoning 0800-555-111.
