POLICE are on the hunt for two men who are suspected of assaulting a teenage girl as she walked along a County Durham lane.

The girl was on a lane between the A167 and Hett village, near Spennymoor, County Durham, between 6pm and 7pm on Thursday, November 17.

A small dark-coloured car, believed to be a Vauxhall Corsa with a ā€˜Nā€™ in the first or second letter of the number plate, pulled up next to the girl.

The girl was then assaulted and the car then drove off. The girl walked to Hett village along the lane.

The driver was mixed-race, small, with a North-East accent and was wearing a red/pink top with a V-neck and sleeves just short of the elbow.

The passenger was white, about 18-20 years-old, tall, of big build with dark or brown short hair with a side-parting. He had a slim face with stubble and was wearing a gold-coloured ring. He was wearing a black hoodie and black bottoms.
