BURGLARS have stolen thousands of pounds worth of appliances from newly-built homes in County Durham.
Three complete houses on a building site in Crowtrees Lane, Bowburn, were broken into between Friday, November 4, and Monday, November 7.
The thieves stole three Pottern Pro Max boilers, along with three Indesit oven/cookers.
They also took a number of 10litre Johnsons white emulsion paint tins and six pallets of 150mm wool insulation.
The total value of property stolen was in excess of £7,000.
