A MAN has been charged with the murder of Jodie Wilkinson.
Ms Wilkinson died from stab wounds after she was attacked by a group of ten or 11 men in in Stanhope Street, Arthur’s Hill, Newcastle, shortly before 3.50pm on Monday.
David Waterston, 43, of Hamilton Place in Newcastle has been charged with murder and will appear at Newcastle Magistrates Court on Saturday.
On Thursday, police arrested two boys, aged 14 and 15, and a 15-year-old girl.
Four other men - aged 20, 22, 25 and 25 - remain in police custody while an 18-year-old man has been released on bail.
Ms Wilkinson's friend, a 25-year-old man who was with her at the time, was also injured and was later discharged from hospital.
