FOUR men and one woman have appeared in court in connection to an alleged conspiracy to supply heroin in County Durham.
The group appeared in Newton Aycliffe Magistrates’ Court on Thursday (September 22) charged with conspiracy to supply the Class A drug, between April 1, 2015, and November 19, 2015.
Daniel Giroux, 37, of Eastbourne Road, Darlington; Colin Hughes, 35, of Chelmsford Street, Darlington; Christian Oliver, 44, of Stocksmoor Close, Darlington; Scott Wells, 36, of Victoria Road, Darlington and Sarah Wood, 32, of Elliot Court, Darlington entered no plea during the hearing.
The group were all released on unconditional bail ahead of their next court appearance on Thursday, October 20.
Chairman of the bench, Colin Beadle, told the group: “This is an indictable-only matter, which means it can only be dealt with at Crown Court.”
