POLICE have seized cannabis worth £150,000 after stopping and searching a vehicle in Stockton.

The grey Ford Focus was stopped at around 9.50pm on Wednesday, August 31, on the A19 southbound close to the Portrack interchange.

A search of the vehicle revealed several bags containing large amounts of cannabis.

The driver and passenger, both males aged 28 and 29, were arrested and charged with possession with intent to supply class B drugs. They appeared at Teesside Magistrates Court on Friday, September 2, where they were remanded into custody.
