THE family of a mother-of-three found dead at home said they were "heartbroken by the tragic and unexpected loss".

Deborah Wilkinson, nee Wood-Woolley, known as Debbie, was found at her home in Hemlington, Middlesbrough, on Friday, with a head injury.

Her death is being treated as suspicious by police.

A statement released on behalf of the 42-year-old's family said: "The family of Deborah Wilkinson, nee Wood-Woolley, would like to express our sincere gratitude for the overwhelming outpouring of sympathy and love for our family during our loss.

"We are heartbroken by the tragic and unexpected loss.

"Debbie was a loving daughter, mother, sister and friend to many. We appreciate all the kind words received during our time of grief."

A 73-year-old man arrested on suspicion of murder remains on police bail and inquiries are continuing.
