POLICE are appealing for help to trace a group of people they want to talk to in connection with the theft of a purse from an elderly woman in Northallerton High Street.
The lady, who is in her 80’s was shopping in the town’s Wilkinson’s store on the morning of April 13 when she was approached by a group of three men and one woman.
One of the men, who is described as having an olive skin and with an Eastern European accent, began talking to her and while she was distracted her purse was stolen from her supermarket basket.
CCTV images of people they want to talk to have been issued by the police. Anyone with information is asked to call North Yorkshire Police on 101, select option 2 and ask for PC Paul Fricker or email paul.fricker@northyorkshire.pnn.police.uk
