A DOG walker was threatened with a baton on Middlesbrough farmland.

The 51-year-old man was walking his dog between Springbank Lane in Ormesby and Cypress Road in Marton when he was approached by an unknown man and woman, who threatened him with a baton and demanded money.

He refused to hand over any cash and the suspects made off in the direction of Ormesby.

The incident happened between 12:30pm and 1pm on Saturday 30th January.

The male suspect is described as a white male, around six ft tall, in his late 20s to early 30s with an unshaved goatee beard and cropped dark hair and he was wearing a pale blue top, dark trainers and dark bottoms with white socks tucked into the bottoms.

The female suspect is described as a white, of big build and around 5 ft 10ins tall and wearing black leggings with trainers. The victim was uninjured.
