CLEVELAND Police have released CCTV footage of a man dousing a car in liquid before igniting it as it was parked on Kilburn Road in Hardwick, Stockton, at around 3.30am on Sunday morning. The fire caused thousands of pounds of damage.
At around 3.10am, twenty minutes before the incident, a taxi enters Kilburn Road and it is possible that the suspect used a taxi to get to the street.
A 43-year-old man and a 27-year-old woman have been arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to commit arson. Both remain on bail pending further enquiries.
Police are appealing for anyone who may know the identity of the person in the footage or anyone who may have witnessed the incident to contact DC Kat Mansell from Cleveland Police on the non-emergency 101 number or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800-555-111 or www.crimestoppers-uk.org
