POLICE are seeking three people of Chinese appearance after a night time dog attack.
At 9.45pm on Monday, November 16, a man was walking his Bichon frise dog in Pitt Street, Newcastle when he was approached by a group of four people who were with a white coloured Husky or Akita type dog.
"The dog attacked the Bichon causing it serious injuries and it required emergency surgery," said a spokeswoman for Northumbria Police.
"The owner of the Bichon was also injured - sustaining a bite to the hand.

"The group with the Husky or Akita dog were described as being of Chinese appearance and there was three women and a man.
"Enquiries are ongoing into the incident and anyone with any information that could help police with their enquiries is asked to ring 101 ext 69191 quoting reference number 490 17/11/15."
