POLICE are appealing for information after a 44-year-old man was stabbed in Hartlepool.
The incident happened on Sheriff Street in Hartlepool on Tuesday, November 17 at around 2.15pm.
Three men aged 47, 22 and 23 years old were arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and were released on bail pending further enquiries.
"Yesterday morning, Wednesday November 18, a 33-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender and a 32-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder. Both have been released on bail pending further enquiries," said a spokeswoman for Cleveland Police.
"The victim was taken to James Cook University Hospital, where he is being treated for multiple stab wounds and is described as being in a “stable” condition.
