POLICE are appealing for information after a 40-year-old woman was robbed outside the Hillcarter Hotel in Whitby Street, Hartlepool.
The incident occurred on Saturday, November 7 at 6.30pm when the victim was approached by an unknown man whilst walking to a taxi rank.
The man held the victim at knifepoint and asked her to hand over her purse. Fortunately the victim only suffered minor injuries as a result of the incident.
The suspect is described as 6ft and he was wearing dark clothing with his hood up.
At the time of the incident there was a vehicle parked outside of the hotel and police would like to speak with the driver of this vehicle as they may be able to assist with enquiries.
