A PAIR of crooks attacked a woman with a hammer during a house burglary.
Two men forced their way into the woman’s home between 9.40pm and 9.50pm on Friday (August 21) and assaulted her with a hammer.
One man searched the house, before both made off in a dark coloured vehicle. It is not known if anything was stolen.
The woman suffered a cut to the head and was treated in hospital.
The burglars are described as white men wearing dark clothing.
One was about 6ft tall, skinny and wearing a hood and a dark coloured scarf covering his lower face.
The second was about 5ft 6ins tall, of medium build, spotty with dirty blonde hair covered by a hood.
The incident happened on The Crescent, Seghill, Northumberland.
Anyone with information is asked to call Northumbria Police on 101.
