A MAN has appeared in court accused of trying to kill his wife in a knife attack at their home.
Paul Temple, 47, did not enter a plea to a charge of attempted murder during the brief hearing, held over a video-link from jail.
Mr Temple was arrested after an incident at a property in Norfolk Place, Stockton, last month.
A woman, 44, was taken to hospital with what police described as "a significant number of injuries".
Mr Temple was remanded into custody at Holme House Prison, Stockton, until he next appears in August.
Judge Simon Bourne-Arton, QC, sitting at Teesside Crown Court, rejected an application for bail.
