POLICE are hunting a flasher who jumped out of bushes as a woman walked past.
The incident happened at 8.45pm on Friday (August 22) in John Reid Road, South Shields. A man emerged from the undergrowth and exposed himself to a woman in her 50s before walking off towards Whiteleas Way.
The woman was shocked but unharmed.
The man was white, in his early-30s, about 5ft 3ins tall, of medium build and had a thin face, with shoulder length dark hair which was possibly in a ponytail, and was wearing a black mac.
Northumbria Police are appealing for any witnesses or anyone who recognises the description to contact them on 101, extension 69191, quoting reference 1207 22/08/14, or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
