KEEN golfers are being encouraged to tee-off on a special four-day event.
Organised by Stockton Borough Council, it gives players the chance to compete on four picturesque courses as part of the event – Billingham, Eaglescliffe, Teesside and Wynyard - and a limited number of places are left for anyone wanting to participate in the competition.
Players can choose to enter the full four day ‘tour event’ or choose individual days to play with daily prizes and an overall prize being awarded for the best aggregate score across the four-day tour competition.
The council’s cabinet member for arts, leisure and culture, Councillor Ken Dixon, said: “Golf Week is the ideal opportunity to play on some of the borough’s top class courses, whether you’re an experienced golfer or a beginner.”
The daily entrance fee for the event, which runs from Tuesday, July 29 to Friday, August 1, is £15 per person at Billingham, Eaglescliffe and Teesside and £20 at Wynyard Golf Club, or £65 for all four days.
