RESIDENTS are being encouraged to take part in a unique opportunity to discuss the future of where they live.
Redcar and Cleveland Borough Council has introduced an online tool to engage with its residents about its draft Local Plan, which covers the proposed long-term strategy for the area.
The web chat is taking place on Tuesday, July 19 from noon to 1pm and 5pm to 6.30pm.
People will be able to speak directly to council officers about their views on the draft document, which sets out a vision for how Redcar and Cleveland will be developed up to the year 2032. It explores proposals around housing, employment, retail and town centres, natural and built environment, and transport.
Cllr Dale Quigley, cabinet member for economic growth, said: “We want to ensure that as many residents as possible, including our young people in the borough, get the opportunity to give their views on the Local Plan, and by doing a live web chat we hope to make it much easier for people to engage with us.”
