A TWO-DAY course is being run in Hartlepool to enable people to qualify as football referees.
Run by Hartlepool Borough Council's sport and recreation service, in partnership with Durham Football Association, the course is open tomen and women aged 14 and over.
It will take place on Saturday and Sunday, April 21 and 22 at Grayfields Sports Pavilion.
Participants will also be required to attend an induction evening at Grayfields on Tuesday, April 10, from 6pm to 7.30pm. The course costs £95 for people aged 16 and over and £70 for under-16s. It includes an FA Criminal Records Bureau check and an annual referee affiliation fee.
Places are limited to 20 and must be booked in advance.
