'Cold-blooded and spineless' ?
Durham County Council has raised a few eyebrows with a recent job advert.
The authority has advertised for an officer to work in the Stanhope area of County Durham.
At present, the vacancy is for internal applicants only and is to provide maternity cover until March 2018.
But don't worry, the advert is not looking for someone with questionable attributes, rather a person keen to work with invertebrates.
The advert has been placed on the northeastjobs.co.uk – a website advertising local authority jobs in the region.
It reads: "A vacancy has arisen to provide maternity cover for the post of Cold-blooded and Spineless Project Coordinator working within the North Pennines AONB Partnership Staff Unit based in Stanhope, Weardale until 30th March 2018 or the day before the return of the substantive post-holder.
"Cold-blooded and Spineless is an ambitious and exciting North Pennines AONB Partnership project which aims to record and celebrate invertebrates in the area. This is a five-year Heritage Lottery Funded initiative, running from 2015-2019."
The salary is Grade 10 £29,033 to £32,164.
