COLLECTIONS of garden waste in County Durham starts up again next week (from Tuesday, March 15) following the winter break.
Residents who subscribed to Durham County Council’s scheme can expect their first collection to take place between Tuesday, March 15 and Friday, March 25.
This year’s sticker must be fixed to the garden waste bin which needs to be put out by 7am on collection day.
Only grass cuttings, shrubs, leaves, weeds, flowers, bedding plants, hedge clippings, prunes and small branches should be put in the bins to ensure it can composted.
For details search for address on MyDurham at durham.gov.uk and to subscribe for £20 a year visit the website or or call 03000-261000.
