A DARLINGTON band raised money for a children’s heart charity with a performance at a music festival.
Post-punk act Foreign Tides played the Sound Mate Festival at Trillians in Newcastle recently.
The festival saw eight other acts from across the region join the band to raise £602 for the Children’s Heart Unit Fund.
Foreign Tides was formed by Queen Elizabeth Sixth Form students Jordan Duff, Otto Speight and Marcus McNiff and York St John student AJ Byrne.
The band was recently named one of the top North East artists to look out for in 2017 by NE Volume magazine.
Their next performance will see them support Sworn to Secrecy at the O2 Academy in Newcastle.
Mr Byrne said: “It will be amazing to play such a well-respected venue.”
