MORE than 2,000 responses to the latest consultation into the future of Darlington’s library services having been submitted.
The six-week consultation on how the town’s central library should look will end this Friday, November 11.
Darlington Borough Council has already received more than 2,480 comments and is urging anyone who has not yet shared their views to do so before the consultation ends.
The authority plans to close Crown Street Library and transfer its resources into the Dolphin Centre.
The ongoing consultation focuses on how a library at the leisure centre will look and operate rather than if the library should be moved.
A new vote is expected early next year after DBC set aside its original decision in September in the wake of legal issues. To comment, visit darlington.gov.uk
