A BUSY b-road is set to close earlier than anticipated for resurfacing work.
Due to a series of improvement works progressing faster than anticipated, the B2679 Staindrop Road will be closed from Monday, June 22.
The Darlington road is closing two days earlier than originally anticipated due to resurfacing works on the B6275 being completed four days ahead of schedule.
Staindrop Road will be closed until Friday, July 3 with a signed diversion route in place via the A67.
The works involve resurfacing the diversion routes used when road closures were put in place as a result of the A67 Carlbury landslip.
Darlington Borough Council has apologised for any inconvenience.
