STEPHEN is completing work experience in event management and marketing at Tees Valley Weddings, and is hoping to find employment or further work experience.

He has completed a short course in IT and is looking for work in marketing, public relations or administration.

He said: “I am desperate to get back into employment. I would like a junior account manager position at a marketing or PR firm, but I would be happy to do admin or work experience.

“I love that every day in PR and marketing is different. I am a fast learner. I have hit the ground running since I have come here (Tees Valley Weddings).

“Communication is very important. I have got good IT skills, excellent inter-personal skills and can build a rapport with people very quickly.

I have also got excellent writing skills. I have really enjoyed working for Joanna (Wake, owner of Tees Valley Weddings).

“She is a great boss and I have learned a lot, including how to manage a website.

“It’s also given me an insight into how a business works. At uni, I learned the theory, but to see it run in practice is quite different.”
