About
I am not afraid to get my hands dirty. Let’s be honest, that is part and parcel of the job. I love working outdoors in any weather. It really doesn’t bother me if it’s raining or freezing cold.
I couldn’t stand being cooped up in an office, that kind of life is not for me.
I spent six months clearing people’s gardens working for (environmental regeneration charity) Groundwork as part of the Future Jobs Fund project.
When that ended, I asked to stay on with Groundwork as a volunteer. I am the kind of person who wants to keep busy.
Sitting around doing nothing is not an option for me. I hope that Groundwork can start me on an apprentice, but nothing has been confirmed at this stage so if anyone can offer me a job or more work experience then I would jump at the chance.
• I have worked on gardens, sheltered housing projects and community allotments. I have a wide range of experience, from working with block paving and making raised beds to planting and setting up polytunnels.
