A PIGEON racer has spoken of his devastation at finding 60 of his prized birds decapitated.
Andrew Dixon, 41, discovered the slaughter at his loft in Parkside, Seaham, east Durham, on Friday morning.
Mr Dixon said: “When I went to my allotment on Friday, I knew something was wrong as the door had been bolted from the inside.
“When I managed to get in I just saw blood everywhere. It was horrible.”
Mr Dixon said that in the past six months, 12 of his birds have been poisoned, and that he and his brother, Paul, have had paint stripper poured on their cars.
Anyone with information about the incidents has been asked to call police on 0345-60- 60-365 or Crimestoppers on 0800-555-111.
