MOTORISTS faced long delays this morning when the northbound A19 near Wolviston, Teesside, was closed following an accident.
Traffic came to a standstill after about 7.55am when a white van and blue Ford Fiesta collided on the slip road approaching the A689 near to the A19 northbound.
The A19 and the A1027 sliproad were closed until 9.30am when the accident was cleared. There were no serious injuries. Traffic was diverted by police but there were long tailbacks on the A19 in both directions.
