FOR those under 35, chances are that the first time they heard of Tim Allen was when he provided the voice of Buzz Lightyear in the original Toy Story animated film. More mature people may remember a US sitcom called Home Improvement, in which Allen starred as Tim Taylor, a supposedly typical American dad, who also happened to host his own DIY-based TV show, called Tool Time. Since the comedy ended in 1999, Allen has concentrated largely on a movie career, but returns to the small screen in the sitcom Last Man Standing, once again playing a family man.
He’s Mike Baxter, a house husband, while his wife is the breadwinner following her promotion. They have three daughters, including one who is a single parent.
