OUR supposed “leaders” are to hold yet another round of talks to stave off the looming economic crisis and to save the disastrous euro.

We hear buzz words like “global economy” and “fiscal merger” – but no solution to our woes.

Isn’t it wonderful that the Spanish Prime Minister believes he, single handedly, has saved the euro by being bailed out to the tune of £80bn? That’s your money and mine.

Every day we learn that more and more EU member nations need mega funds to bail them out of the mire they are in.

Statements from Brussels continue to lead the people away from the fact the euro as a currency does not work.

The upcoming financial collapse will make the great depression of the 1930s seem like a Sunday School picnic.

Remember, nothing happens in politics that isn’t planned.

I would like to ask David Cameron if he has a solution to the financial problems the world’s leaders have created?

PEOPLE who go on strike are set to lose their tax credits (Echo, June 15). We would like to challenge Ian Duncan Smith to be really fair.

How about MPs with a second income having their parliamentary salary reduced pro rata?

Any MP with a second (or third) job is not committing themselves fully to us if they are taking time off to do something else.

Are we really all in this together?
