Exclusive Guillemots gig starts the countdown to July’s Hard Rock Calling!

Intro: British band Guillemots will play a special one off intimate show giving fans the chance to see them up close before their slot on the Hard Rock Calling bill in July.

Where: Hard Rock Cafe Manchester Hard Rock Cafe has announced an up close and personal gig that sees Hard Rock Calling act – Guillemots - play an intimate gig for fans before their 50,000 captive audience at the Hyde Park location in July. Called The Road to Hard Rock Calling the gig takes place just under a month before the festival and is the perfect warm up for Guillemots and those attending the three day event in July.

Guillemots will be heading to Manchester and put the countdown to Hard Rock Calling on 13th July into full swing. The Brit Award nominated band, fronted by Fyfe Dangerfield, started life in Birmingham in 2004, fast forward to 2012 and the band are releasing four albums each based around the seasons. Having previously played Hard Rock Cafe in London, this will be the first time Guillemots have played the Manchester venue.

2012 is also the first year Guillemots have played London’s annual Hard Rock Calling festival where they will take to the stage on Sunday 15th July. Set in the beautiful surroundings of Hyde Park in the heart of bustling London the festival has fully established itself as one of the UK's must see outdoor music events.

This year Hard Rock Calling will take place on 13-15 July 2012 and feature headliners Soundgarden, Bruce Springsteen & The E Street Band and Paul Simon with supporting acts including Christina Perri, Iggy and the Stooges and Cold Chisel.

The stage at Hard Rock Calling attracts some of the biggest musicians and bands in the world, with previous headliners including The Who, Paul McCartney, Eric Clapton, Neil Young, Bruce Springsteen & The E Street Band, Stevie Wonder, Aerosmith, Peter Gabriel, Pearl Jam, The Police, the Killers, Rod Stewart and Bon Jovi.
