A WOMAN with a passion for selling vintage glamour will model her own jewellery when she competes in a beauty pageant.

Kimberley Knowles started making clothes and jewellery at 14, founded her Maddison Ivory label at 16, and opened a stall at Durham Indoor Market aged 20 selling one-off finds.

She will compete in the final of Miss Durham, at Sedgefield Racecourse on Saturday, March 31, with the winner going on to compete in the Miss England contest.

She is raisingmoney for the Army Benevolent Fund, and will model three outfits from The Little Black Dress Agency, in Yarm, near Stockton which is sponsoring her campaign.

The 21-year-old, from Darlington, said: "The judges want to see your personality, so there will also be lots of quick-fire questions. I am looking forward to the glamour on the night, but I am also determined to just bemyself."
