AN exhibition of artwork has gone on display to mark the 70th anniversary or the Jarrow March.
Pieces by John Horgan have gone on show in Chester-le-Street Civic Centre until the end of the month.
The 46-year-old, from Chester-le-Street, has travelled extensively throughout Europe and has held successful exhibitions in Athens, Greece, Ireland and London.
He has recently returned to his native North-East, where his reputation is growing.
Mr Horgan said: "I have often been compared with the great Impressionists such as Monet and Van Gogh, and developed my own style of New Impressionist."
