TWO men have been arrested after a short police chase ended with a car colliding with a house.
Police began following a black Ford Escort on Mill Lane, Billingham at 12.40am today.
Moment later, it collided with an unoccupied house on Tibbersley Avenue. It damaged brickwork and a bay window.
Cleveland Police said a 21-year-old man, believed to be local, was arrested on suspicion of stealing the car, failing to provide a specimen and dangerous driving.
A 66-year-old man from Stockton, who suffered head and face injuries in the crash, was arrested on suspicion of theft of car.
Both are still in police custody.
