Singh to put Darlington Football Club into administration, sources claim
1:20pm Thursday 29th December 2011 in News
DARLINGTON Football Club is facing a third spell of administration in nine years, reports emerging from the club this afternoon suggest.
Sources claim the club will be put into administration today by chairman Raj Singh.
It is understood the players will not be paid tomorrow when their monthly wages are due. They have been told to prepare for administration.
Players have reacted on Twitter.
Jamie Chandler tweeted: "Why man!? Did we really deserve this? One month was all we needed... Oh dear."
Aaron Brown said: "Bad News but predictable..."
Adam Rundle simply put: "Gutted."
John McReady, who was with the club when it went into administration in 2009, said: "Only 19 and already experienced admin twice. To say I'm gutted is an understatement."
Club chairman Raj Singh who took over following the previous spell in administration has been in talks this afternoon following his return to the country late last night.
A statement made by the club this evening said: "Chairman Raj Singh has today returned from abroad and is currently assessing the club’s position with his advisors. A further announcement will be made next week."
It added Sunday's game with Gateshead would go ahead as planned.

as for darlo, raj is the one that allowed the budget to spiral out of control upto the million pound mark, with the sale of dan burn and michael smith along with the trophy money plus season ticket money a budget of £500,000 should of been more than comfortable

I am still posting virtually daily on uncovered. Ask Mikkys and he will tell you it is impossible to ban me.
As to people not liking what I say, NOTHING has been shown to be FACT yet, and just look at the "administration" thread on the board.
Were you RS and read that, just what would you think?

I am massively disgusted at many of the so called fans of the club, but there are still some who actually care about the club and have followed it for many years. Stop being a prat and wallowing in it.

Wish old Bogey eyes would let us know his team. Bet its empty seats Sunderland as he's always banging on about Durhams pit village hospital! He's also obsessed with Durham Tees Valley airport for some obscure reason as well. He never has anything positive to say, sad lass he is!!

Does Darlington deseeve a football club? They couldn't even fill Feethams. So how can they afford a ground the size of the one they have now.
The same reason pubs are closing is because people sit at home with cheap beer and watch football on the telly.

Off the pitch the infrastructure is there.
Adjust the budget accordingly and there is a future for DFC.
Raj knows exactly what he is doing and so far his plan is working perfectly.
Phase 1 - Slash Cost base; Improve performances on the pitch; stabalise attendances;
Phase 2 - well that's for 2012 and Sundays programme notes!

I would like to see a new club & initially ground share with a local Northern League club until a new central Darlo 7000 ground could be funded. Call the club Darlington Loco's.
I would put £500 towards the new club, in return for shares, if 4000 others do likewise.

Its time to let the club go. The stadium killed it. Thanks for the journey via Wembley. Anyone who has put there money into the club for 2+ years deserves a LITTLE respect not to be slagged on guess work and rumor!!
