MOTORISTS are being warned to take care when using the A66 in County Durham.
Police have beem dealing with gridlock on the road due to heavy snow.
A spokeswoman said every effort was being made to clear the road as quickly as possible but drivers should expect delays.
She added that traffic had eased and the road is passable with care.
